Discovering the magical worlds of words: Learning to read

If you are reading this, you are familiar with the magical world one enters when a storyteller carries the reader to a place where arbitrary time and place intersect seamlessly. Many of us start this journey at the age of 5. Below is an account of that wonderous day I took my first step into the world of words.

    • Thank you. I’m glad you liked it. My son’s first grade teacher told me (many years ago) that the best part of her job was seeing her children take that first step towards literacy. That is what inspired me to write this piece.
